abstract

European identity is not an established concept, as creating such an identity is rather a task to be undertaken. This common identity originates from common political, cultural and religious roots as well as from rather close economic and social conditions.

The students examined the:

  • origins of languages, cultures and religions in the EU
  • historical, political, social and economic aspects of the tendency towards expansion (Enlargement of the EU) and
  • global economic performance of the EU
